Our Youth Ministry is about leading our Middle/High School Students to know and follow Jesus Christ. As well as developing their understanding of what it means to walk, talk, and live an abundant life, full of joy and love, as one of His followers! We will work together to obtain a closer relationship with God, build healthy growing relationships with other people, and find what you are good at and then use it to help others.
As we look back on 2011 we can be proud of all that God has done with us. Through all the challenges and struggles God has given us victory. Nothing brings more enjoyment than seeing our students growing in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4 ESV. A lot of times we have a hard time finding the joy in our lives. Especially when things are not going the way we think they should, or tragedy strikes. But take the time to look for how God is using it to grow you and how He is getting you through it. After you find Jesus, loving you and bringing you through whatever you are going through, you will be able to find the JOY that you need. We have been going through a study of “How to follow God” during our Sunday School Time as well as a comprehensive study of the Gospel of Luke on our Wednesday night sessions. We've had a lot of fun this year through our parties, lock-in (even if most all of you fell asleep), fund-raisers, Spring Fling, Christoberfest, as well as going to Night of Joy, (that was a blast). I can't wait to get started on everything next year because we are going to take it to new heights in 2012.
